Guadeloupe Zoological Park
In the heart of Basse-Terre, the Guadeloupe Zoo is home to fascinating species and invites you to immerse yourself in nature.

A haven of biodiversity in the heart of Guadeloupe
At the heart of the Basse-Terre massif, the Parc des Mamelles extends over more than 2 hectares of tropical forest. This animal park in Guadeloupe is dedicated to the conservation of rare and endangered species. There are many animals from Guadeloupe, protected species from Latin America and a rich biodiversity from the Caribbean.
Located on the Route de la Traversée, in the heart of the Guadeloupe National Park, this park offers a quiet and preserved setting.
It is home to more than 450 animals from around 80 species. Mammals, birds, reptiles and arthropods from the Caribbean and Latin America find refuge there. A true modern Noah's ark, the site protects exceptional biodiversity.

An immersive visit surrounded by nature
The visit to the Guadeloupe Zoo is in the heart of the tropical forest, in the shade of the trees. Ideal for finding a bit of freshness.
The 1.5 km trail allows the visitor to admire both the local fauna and flora. Some of it takes place in the heights on the canopy walkways. A complete experience for families, schools, adventurers and a course perfectly adapted for people with reduced mobility.
A mission to protect and preserve wildlife
The Guadeloupe Zoo belongs to a new generation of zoological parks committed to the protection of wild fauna. It carries out numerous actions in partnership with recognized associations.
These partnerships include the Antilles and other countries. They are with AfDPZ, ALPZA, EEP, EAZA and recently WAZA.
